Toolfold Privacy Policy

How the Toolfold Android app handles information. In short: most tools work entirely on your phone, there is no account and no server of ours, online tools send only what they say and only when you press, and the free app shows ads from Google AdMob.

Who this covers

This policy covers Toolfold, an Android app of everyday tools made by Ahmedonics Technologies (Private) Limited, Islamabad, Pakistan. This version is dated 7 November 2026 and describes the app from version 0.5.0. How this website handles its visitors is described in the company privacy policy.

What stays on your phone

Most tools work entirely on your phone. What you type into them isn't saved and isn't sent anywhere. Your notes, lists, spending, habits, money owed, bills, birthdays, fuel and weight logs, match scores, saved boards and any logo on them, calculator history, pinned tools, running timers, settings, and a count of how often you use each tool, which puts your favourites first, are stored only on your phone. If Android backup is on, Android may copy them, apart from recordings and logos, to your own Google account. Clear everything in Settings deletes them from the phone.

Back up in Settings writes these to a file in a place you choose. It stays yours, we never receive it, and it isn't encrypted, so keep it somewhere you trust. Recordings and logos aren't included.

Toolfold has no accounts and no server of its own, and we can't see anything you do in it.

Notifications

Timers and the reminders you switch on use notifications, made on your phone. No server sends them, and you can turn them off at any time.

Your camera, microphone and location

Each is asked for only when the tool that needs it opens, and you can say no and use everything else.

The scanner, magnifier and mirror use your camera. Pictures aren't saved or sent. If you switch on Keep a history in the scanner, what your codes said is kept on your phone until you clear it, apart from Wi-Fi codes, which are never kept. The sound meter and the instrument tuner use your microphone to measure loudness or pitch; nothing is recorded. The voice recorder records only when you press Record, and keeps its files inside the app on your phone, outside any backup, until you share or delete them.

GPS speed and location uses your location to show it on that screen, only while the screen is open. It isn't saved or sent, and it isn't given to advertisers. Use my location, in the weather tools, is the one exception, and only if you tap it: your location, rounded to about a kilometre, goes to the services named above to get your forecast. It isn't saved, and it isn't given to advertisers.

Your photos, videos and files

Photo, video, PDF and ZIP tools work on your phone on the files you choose, and your originals aren't changed. Text from a photo, the document scanner and Remove background use tools from Google Play services that run on the phone, and Play services may download them the first time. New files are saved or shared only when you press Save or Share.

Speech

Speech to text uses your phone's own speech service, which may send your voice to its provider under its own terms. Toolfold never receives the audio. Text to speech uses your phone's speech engine.

Ads

The free app shows ads from Google AdMob between tools, never inside one. Google and its partners may collect your device's advertising ID, approximate location from your IP address and how you interact with ads, to show and measure ads and prevent fraud. Where the law requires it you are asked for consent first, and can change your answer under Settings, Privacy choices. You can reset your advertising ID in your phone's settings. See how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Purchases

Removing ads is a Google Play purchase. Google handles the payment. We never see your card, and Google Play tells the app only whether you own it.

Children

Toolfold is meant for people aged 13 and over, and isn't directed at children.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling the app, or Clear everything in Settings, deletes what it keeps on the phone. We hold nothing about you to delete. How to delete your data covers Android backup and what Google handles.
