PrintSurvey Privacy Policy

How the PrintSurvey Android app handles information. In short: surveys stay on your phone unless you keep them in your optional Ahmedonics account, which then holds your name, email, devices and the business's surveys, and checks a PrintSurvey Cloud subscription with Google Play.

Who this covers

This policy covers PrintSurvey, a site survey app for Android made by Ahmedonics Technologies (Private) Limited for printing and signage businesses: a surveyor photographs and measures each surface on site and sends a report. This version is dated 3 November 2026 and describes the app from version 1.6.0. How this website handles its visitors is described in the company privacy policy.

On this phone only

The first time PrintSurvey opens, it asks where surveys are kept. If you choose On this phone only, everything you make (surveys, client names and contact details, site addresses and positions, measurements, notes, photos, signatures, your business details, logo, rate card and templates) is stored in the app's private storage on the phone and sent nowhere. It leaves the phone only when you share, export or back it up yourself, and then only to where you send it. Uninstalling the app deletes it from the phone.

The app has no analytics, no crash reporting service, no advertising and no advertising ID.

Your Ahmedonics account

An Ahmedonics account is optional; the app works fully without one. If you create one or sign in, Ahmedonics keeps your name, your email address, your password (stored only as a one-way hash) and the devices you sign in on (the phone's maker and model, "android" and the app version), so you can sign in and see or sign out your devices. We use your email to confirm it and to send the messages your account needs, such as a password reset. The same account works in all Ahmedonics apps.

Surveys kept in your account

If you choose In your Ahmedonics account and have confirmed your email, PrintSurvey saves each survey (client name, contact details, address and site position, measurements, notes, answers, quotation lines, the sign-off name and date) with its photos and signature to your business on Ahmedonics' servers at ahmedonics.com while the app is open, so it is the same on every phone you sign in on. The owner's phones also save the business details, rate card, logo and the business's own templates. Surveys are always written on the phone first; the cloud keeps a copy.

In a team, everyone in the business sees and edits its surveys and sees the others' names; the owner also sees members' email addresses. Our staff do not read your surveys: the Hub stores them for you and has no screen for viewing them.

Purchases and PrintSurvey Cloud

PrintSurvey Pro (a one-time purchase) and PrintSurvey Cloud (a subscription for a business) are sold through Google Play Billing, which processes the payment; we never see card or Google account details. Pro stays between you and Google Play.

For PrintSurvey Cloud, the app gives Google Play the business's Ahmedonics id (a random code, not your name or email) with the purchase, and sends Ahmedonics the subscription's purchase token. We use the token only to ask Google Play whether the subscription is active, when it renews or ends, and to give the business its plan; we keep it for as long as the business has the subscription on record. Play Billing also sends Google diagnostic information about the purchase service. Google's handling of purchases is governed by the Google Play Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

Address lookup and location

Two features are off until you turn them on in Settings. Address lookup sends the site's coordinates or the address text you typed to the phone's geocoding service (on most phones Google's) to fill in or find an address. Site pinning reads one satellite position when you tap "Use my location", stores it on the survey like a typed address, and never runs in the background.

Permissions

PrintSurvey asks for the camera when you first photograph a surface, and for precise location only if you turn on site pinning and tap "Use my location". It holds the Internet permission for address lookup and the Ahmedonics account, the billing permission for purchases, and notifications only to tell you an automatic backup failed. It does not ask for your photos, contacts or microphone.

Keeping and deleting

What is in your account is kept while you use it. In the app, Settings > Account > Delete account signs every device out at once and deletes the account after 30 days, with the businesses you own and their surveys and photos; signing in before then cancels it. Settings > Delete cloud copies deletes a business's cloud copies after 30 days and leaves the phone's surveys as they are. Deleting does not cancel a PrintSurvey Cloud subscription: cancel it in Google Play, Payments and subscriptions. Without the app, delete the account on the web at ahmedonics.com/apps/account/delete, or ask us at the address below.

Security

Everything the app sends travels over HTTPS to ahmedonics.com and nowhere else of ours. Sign-in tokens are kept on the phone sealed by the phone's keystore and stored on our side only as hashes; photos are checked by their fingerprint when they arrive.

Children

PrintSurvey is a work tool for businesses and is not directed at children under 13.
